I used to have a CQR on the bow but it just wouldn't hold in sand. The Bruce did it - but it wouldn't hold in the mud (Lagoon St Martin) so we fitted a 40lb Delta. I let out as much chain as possible (at least 5:1 ratio in normal conditions but 10 to 1, or a least 120' in the Lagoon mud!). No problems. Now we hold anywhere. (New picture to come) |
